How much do driving lessons cost?

Manual lessons: £43 per hour. Automatic lessons: £45 per hour. Save more with block bookings: 6-hour block (£240 manual / £260 automatic) or 10-hour block (£400 manual / £430 automatic). All prices include pick-up and drop-off within Reading area.

How long does it take to learn to drive?

Most learners need between 25-45 hours of professional lessons plus private practice. The exact time depends on your learning pace, consistency, and natural ability. We'll create a personalized plan for you and track your progress.

What's the difference between manual and automatic?

Manual lessons teach you clutch control and gear changes — giving you a full license to drive both manual and automatic cars. Automatic lessons focus on easier driving without clutch/gears, perfect for those who prefer simplicity or have mobility concerns.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged the full lesson fee. No-shows are also charged 100%. If we need to cancel, we'll reschedule at no extra cost.

What areas do you cover for pick-up?

We primarily serve Reading and surrounding Berkshire areas including Caversham, Tilehurst, Earley, Woodley, Whitley, and nearby villages. Pick-up from your home, school, or workplace is included in the lesson price.

Do you offer intensive driving courses?

Yes! We offer one-week intensive courses designed to fast-track your learning. Perfect for those who need to pass quickly. Contact us to discuss availability and create a custom intensive schedule that fits your needs.

What is your first-time pass rate?

Our first-time pass rate is consistently above the national average. While we can't guarantee a pass (it depends on your performance on the day), our structured teaching methods and experienced instructors give you the best possible chance.

Do you help with booking the practical test?

Yes, we can assist you in booking your practical test. We also offer help finding test cancellations to get an earlier date. However, we are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by the DVSA.

Do you provide theory test support?

Absolutely! All block booking students receive free theory test support including revision materials, mock tests, and expert guidance. We want you to be fully prepared before taking your practical lessons.

What do I need to bring to my first lesson?

You must bring your valid UK provisional driving license. If you wear glasses or contact lenses for driving, please wear them. Comfortable shoes (not heavy boots or flip-flops) are recommended.

What age can I start driving lessons?

You can start driving lessons from age 17 (the legal driving age in the UK). However, you can apply for your provisional license at 15 years and 9 months.

Do you offer motorway or night driving?

Yes! Once you've reached a confident level, we offer specialized motorway lessons and night driving sessions to prepare you for real-world driving conditions. Available at extra cost and by arrangement.

Are your instructors DVSA approved?

All our instructors are fully qualified, DVSA approved, and have years of experience. They undergo regular checks to maintain the highest teaching standards.

Can I use my own car for lessons?

We recommend using our modern, dual-controlled cars for safety and optimal learning. However, if you prefer to use your own vehicle, please discuss this with us beforehand — additional terms may apply.
